We invite pianists, piano duos, and chamber ensembles with
piano. All talented music students and graduates from all
countries may apply. There is no strict age limit, but only advanced
applicants will be considered for performances. Juvenile
participants must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian.
Candidates are encouraged to include in their repertoire a solo
piece by a Polish composer and a movement of a concerto from the
following works:
Bach D Minor, F Minor, G Minor
Haydn D Major,
Mozart KV 175, 238, 271, 246, 413, 414.
To participate in the competition pianists have to prepare one major
composition and three shorter pieces (e.g. etudes), preferably of
various styles. The cost of full participation, including
accommodation, three meals a day is EUR 1000 per
person. The fee includes the cost of tour bus rides and
transportation to student performances. Travel expenses to
Poland, admission fees to museums, and meals while on sightseeing
tours, are not included.
The room and board fee for observers, guests and family members is EUR
750.
Participants will be accommodated in double rooms with
bathrooms at hotels or B&B in Kazimierz Dolny and
Naleczów.
The suggested deadline for sending applications and a registration
fee of EUR 50 is June 10, 2008. You may send your
